President: in September Kyiv intends to resolve transit of Russian gas issue

In September Kyiv intends to resolve the issue regarding the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine after 2019, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

Zelensky stated this at the joint press conference with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Kyiv, as UNIAN reports.

“As far as I know, they want to continue the conversation (regarding the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine – Ed.) in December, but this is an issue of energy security for Ukraine. My position and that of our team is that in September we want to sit down to the negotiating table and resolve this issue. I think we will be able to solve it”, the head of state said.

As reported by The Journalist, Zelensky propose to restart entire anti-corruption system of Ukraine.
