Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Riaboshapka has appointed Yuriy Freishyn the prosecutor of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. He was introduced to the staff of the regional prosecutor’s office. This was reported by the press center of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
Freishyn was born in 1981 in Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. He has been working in prosecution authorities since 2003. Prior to being appointed prosecutor of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, he worked as the head of the process management department during the preliminary investigation by the territorial police and maintaining the state accusation of the supervision department in criminal proceedings.
The previous prosecutor of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Oleksandr Stratiuk, was dismissed in early September 2019.
Chumak: Military Prosecutor’s Office will be part of the Prosecutor General.
