Russia has put Crimean activist Oleh Prykhodko to the list of persons involved in extremist activities or terrorism, as Krym.Realii reported.
Olha Skrypnyk, the head of Crimean Human Rights Group, said that only those citizens whose sentence has come into force might be put on this list. But there are other reasons to put a person on the list, including the procedural decision on the recognition of a person as a suspect or decision of the investigator to prosecute a person as an accused in the terrorist or extremist activity.
To Skrypnyk, such a decision violates the presumption of innocence, because even within the Russian legal system, the guilt of Prykhodko is not proved, but he is publicly mentioned on the Rosfinmonitoring website as the extremist or terrorist, and his rights are already restricted.
In addition, according to Prikhodko’s wife, Russia blocked their pension card.
As The Journalist reported, Number of students studying in Ukrainian in Crimea peninsula decreased 150 times.
