At the trilateral negotiations on gas transit, scheduled for late May, Ukraine, together with the European Union, will offer Gazprom to book for a long period of time a 60 bcm per year capacity of the Ukrainian gas transmission system.
This was announced by the executive director of the NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine, Yuriy Vitrenko, UNIAN reports.
“The position is as follows: Gazprom must book for a long period, approximately 10 years, 60 billion cubic meters per year on average… At the same time, Ukraine will provide capacity at 90 billion cubic meters per year. 30 billion cubic meters will be free capacity that will be available for booking by other companies,“ said Vitrenko.
It is noted that such an agreement would allow Ukraine to keep transit revenues at USD 3 billion.
As The Journalist reported, gas transit talks with Gazprom expected after presidential elections in Ukraine.
