The Russian occupational command in the east of Ukraine creates the so-called ‘Cossack formations’ to supress ‘mass violations of public order’ by residents of the occupied Donbas.

This was announced by Col. Dmytro Gutsulyak, Ministry of Defence of Ukraine spokesperson, with reference to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.

“The Russian occupational command, under the guise of the need of increasing level of internal security and protecting the ‘constitutional rights’ of citizens, has enhanced duty regime for the so-called ‘law enforcement agencies’ in order to repress the local population. In particular, to ensure readiness to forceful response to mass violations of public order and the suppression of protest actions, were formed and staffed the so-called ‘Cossack’ units as part of the 1st and 2nd army corpuses of RF,” the speaker said.

These structures staffed with previously trained mobilization reserve and persons who are limited to fit for military service due to wounds and contusions during combat operations.

As The Journalist reported, ‘Recruits’ cannot stand bullying and kill militants in Donbas.
