The Ministry of Digital Transformation intends to create Diia City free economic zone for technology companies. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation – Vice Prime Minister Mikhailo Fedorov in his Telegram channel.
“Diia City is a digital city within the country. For four months we have been working on a free economic zone for creative business,” the message reads.
Diia City will include investment legislation; special terms of currency regulation; service for the implementation of international accounting standards; Resident Supervisory Board; simplified state regulation; a special procedure for inspections and searches, a special tax regime (the basic tax rate in the zone is 10% labor tax – 10%, import duty on equipment for research and development – 0%); modern education; Resident Services Office of the Economic Zone under the State Tax Service.
Residents of Diia City could be Ukrainian and international IT companies, high-tech businesses, investment funds, startups, and educational organizations.
