On May 19, the militants violated the ceasefire regime in Donbas. Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy fortified positions. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation on Facebook.
Militants fired from 120mm and 82mm mortars banned by the Minsk agreements, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group near Bohdanivka, Krasnohorovka, Taramchyk, and Vodiane, the enemy used grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns.
In the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group the militants fired two times from 120mm and 82mm mortars at Ukrainian defenders’s positions near Novotoshkivske, in general, firing 14 mortar shells. Near Krymske the enemy resorted to 120mm mortars (15 shells).
Not far from the village of Horikhove, the occupiers fired at Ukrainian army positions 12 shells from 120mm mortar and 26 shells from 82mm mortar, and also used heavy machine guns.
No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
According to intelligence data, Ukrainian troops wounded three occupiers.
