The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has registered a criminal case in the fact of possible treason by former President of Ukraine and incumbent MP Petro Poroshenko while signing the Minsk agreements.
According to the SBI, results of the consideration of the application regarding Poroshenko’s possible state treason during the preparation and conduct of negotiations on February 11-12, 2015, on the content of the document entitled “The package of measures aimed at the implementation of the Minsk agreements”, on December 10, 2019, information was entered into Unified register of pre-trial investigations.
The criminal offense is preliminary qualified under Part 1 of Article 111 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
