The governments of Ukraine and the UK will revise their trade agreement after the Britain withdrawn from the European Union (Brexit). This was announced by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain Natalia Galibarenko, Hromadske reports.
To her, Brexit will positively affect the trade agreement between Ukraine and Britain, as the UK will try to diversify its trade relations.
“That is why we see Brexit as a window of opportunity for Ukraine. Now negotiations on the conclusion of a new agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, which will cover a very wide range of issues – from free trade to security and defense, are at the final stage,” Galibarenko said in a statement.
She clarified that the agreement will be based on the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. However, it’s significant part will be updated.
