NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that Ukraine will join the North Atlantic Alliance. The Secretary General said this in an interview with TSN.
He noted that the Allies have already stated several times that Ukraine will became NATO member, but it is necessary to carry out a number of necessary measures first.
“We need to concentrate on the reforms. This is good for Ukraine regardless she is NATO member, but it will move her closer to NATO membership,” Stoltenberg said.
When asked by a journalist whether Alliance would leave Ukraine in the “gray zone” between Russia and Europe, the NATO Secretary General answered that Ukraine is a NATO partner and noted that although Ukraine is not yet a full member of NATO, the Alliance remains a supporter of strong and powerful cooperation with the country.
