The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed to extend the stay period for retired migrants within the occupied territories from 59 days to a year, as the Donbas News informs.

“Let’s extend the possibility for people toremain human beings. We offered a one-year period. Although I very much hope that in a year we will end this war,” Zelensky said at a press conference following the Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv.

Zelensky proposed to simplify the procedure for transporting goods across the contact line to the uncontrolled territories of the occupied Donbas.

“We have a very simple proposal: to have a list of products that cannot be transported, not vice versa,” Zelensky said.
