Ukraine is counting on increased sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation in connection with a Putin’s decree on a simplified procedure for acquiring Russian citizenship by Ukrainian citizens living in LNR / DNR.

This is stated by the Team Zelensky, Ukrinform reports.

“Ukraine is counting on the support of the international community in protecting interests and rights of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories and is counting on increased diplomatic and sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation,” the statement reads.

Also one of the priorities for the newly elected president Zelensky will be solution of the vital problems of immigrants and the expansion of opportunities to maintain ties with the citizens of Ukraine in the occupied territories, a set of measures to end the war and de-occupation of the Ukrainian territories.

“Donbas is Ukraine,” summed up in the Team Zelensky.

As The Journalist reported, Verkhovna Rada adopted Law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state one”.
